confirmed with microfilm of actual passenger list, State Historical

Karl Heinrich Stahlhut and his wife, Engel Maria Dierks Stahlhut are
listed in the records of Immanual Lutheran Church, Palatine, Illinois
as members. The records also give the death and burial dates for
both. At this time, it is not known for sure where they were
buried. However, since Union Cemetery was the cemetery for
Immanuel Lutheran, it is logical to assume that is their burial
place. Laverne, the church secretary, walked the cemetery on
March 17, 2002 looking for gravestones. She didn't find any,
however there are some that are so worn that they are blank or
illegible.
